Salomon Undhof’s 2022 Grüner Veltliner Wieden is a true expression of Kremstal’s terroir, one of five wine regions extending on either side of the Danube river in Northern Austria. This medium-bodied gem is dry, with a burst of citrus—lime and lemon—that’s balanced by the green snap of apple and white pepper. Crisp acidity makes for a zippy personality, while meadow herbs add earthy depth. Finesse and power, with a clean, spicy finish that makes you reach for another sip. Will play nicely with everything from fresh seafood to spicy dishes.
