Adelaide Hills Pinot Noir/Chardonnay. A very low-yielding year for Pinot Noir. To cater for that, whole bunches were co-fermented in Chardonnay juice, resulting in an impossibly bright (as the name suggests), bursting red currant sherbet with strong tamarillo vibes.
Russian-born winemaker Alex Schulkin and his wife Galit make pristine zero-zero wine in Adelaide Hills. Alex is also a researcher at the Australian Wine Research Institute in his day job. Makes sense.
