2024 Seaview Ridge ’Bull Swamp’ Sauvignon Blanc
Description

REGION: Gippsland, VIC
VARIETY: Sauvignon Blanc
VITICULTURE: Organic (Not Certified)
From the powerful old vines of Sauvignon in the richest soil of the Bull Swamp vineyard, this is a powerful wine. A warm dry year in a usually wet, cold place allowed us to let these grapes hang out for a long time without a hint of botrytis. We harvested clean, ripe fruit at the end of March as the weather cooled. The resulting wine is beautifully resolved with rich, concentrated fruit framed by a faint phenolic spice and lemon curd acidity. The high iron content in the soil here lends a crystalline minerality to the whites, something we’ve always appreciated in the wines of our friends and are pleased to witness in the Sauvignon in both warm and cool vintages.

Come curious. Leave with a new favourite.
We don’t tell you what to drink. You don’t need to know your varietals, regions or vintages, and you certainly don’t need to pretend you do. Tell us what you like, hate, what you’ve tried or curious about — we’ll take it from there. Sometimes the best bottle is the one you didn’t know you wanted.
