From the volcanic soils of Mount Gambier over a limestone bed below this fruit comes from Yahl estate grown by relatively new comer Paul Chisea. South east of the mountain history tells of an ash cloud that formed from the eruption sent up a cloud of volcanic ash and in that direction depositing volcanic ash where this site has been planted. This results in a fruit driven pinot noir beaming with natural acidity. Crunchy texture with cranberry and strawberry notes. Light in style but large in character, a vineyard we are extremely happy to watch and work with as it evolves through its new custodian.
