Sigurd’s expression of Chenin is nothing short of gorgeous, owing in full part to plenty of winery TLC. Clare and Barossa Chenin fermented in Russian and Slovenian oak (some whole bunch) before a 20 day ferment on lees with full malo, and rest in various European oaks until September. Leading in with lime zest, lemon and baking spices, they make their way to the palate with the support of just ripe Granny Smith apples and a titch of cedar. Decant for maximum enjoyment.
