2025 Chatto Lutruwita Pinot Noir is a vibrant Tasmanian Pinot Noir crafted by Chatto Wines, a producer celebrated for site-driven, small-batch wines that highlight the purity of Tasmania’s cool-climate vineyards. The name Lutruwita, the Aboriginal name for Tasmania, reflects the wine’s connection to the island’s unique landscape and winemaking heritage.
The 2025 vintage opens with lifted aromas of red cherry, wild strawberry and raspberry, layered with notes of rose petal, subtle spice and forest floor complexity. The palate is silky and refined, showing bright red berry fruit supported by fine tannins and fresh acidity. Hints of cranberry, savoury herbs and gentle earthy minerality add depth, leading to a long, elegant finish.
A complex blend of no less than 5 clones (114, 115, MV6, D5V12, G5V15) and 4 vineyard sites in the north, south and east of Tasmania. Chatto's Lutruwita blend comes from one vineyard on the West Tamar (Glengarry) one from Pipers River (Bird) one from the Coal River (Brinktop) and one from the East Coast (Maclean Bay). A celebration of what is so good about Tasmanian Pinot: Bright red & black fruits, all the florals, intensity yet elegance, coupled with wonderful length and purity.
